(Trade union) İşçilerin ücretlerini ve çalışma koşullarını iyileştirmek ama­cıyla işçiler tarafından kurulan örgüttür. Cumhuriyet dönemde sendikalar1946’daki yasa değişikliğinden ve 1947’de kabul edilen Sendikalar Yasası’ndan sonra kurulmuştur.
