Ekonomik Yoğunlaşma

(Economic concentration) Yoğunlaş­ma, bir sektörde sınırlı sayıda firmanın ciro, üretim, katma değer ve istihdamın önemli bir bölümünü elinde tutması anlamına gelir. Yoğunlaşma sektör ve firmalar ile ilgili bilgi ve istatistikler üzerinden hesaplanır. Genellikle ilk dört firmanın üretimi veya istihdamı sektörün toplam üretim ve istihdamına bölünmesi ile bulunan oran sektörde­ki yoğunlaşma ile ilgili fikir verebilir. Belirli bir sektörde veya bir ürünün üretiminde yoğunlaşma oranı için Her­findahl Endeksi ve entropi endeksi gibi farklı ölçüler geliştirilmiştir.
