Dünya Posta Birliği

(Universal Postal Union: UPU) Posta hizmetleri alanında uluslararası işbir­liğini sağlamak amacıyla 1874 yılında İsviçre’de kurulmuştur. Osmanlı İm­paratorluğu 1 Temmuz 1875’te UPU’ya üye olmuş ve üyeliğgi cumhuriyet dö­neminde devam etmiştir. 192 üyeye sahip olan UPU, 1948 yılından sonra Birleşmiş Milletler bünyesinde faaliyet göstermiştir.
