(Contractionary fiscal policy) Enflasyonu düşürmek amacıyla kamu har­camalarını kısma ve vergileri arttırma gibi araçlarla bütçe fazlası yaratmaya yönelik politikalardır. Bu tür politika­lar ekonomi aşırı ölçüde ısındığında ve enflasyonun hızla yükselme eğilimine girdiği dönemlerde gündeme gelir.
