Amerikan Usulü Yevmiye Defteri

(Ledger Journal) Bu sistemde yevmiye defterindeki maddeleri defterikebire geçirme zorunluluğu yoktur. Özellikle hesap sayısı sınırlı olan işletmeler için bu sistem pratik ve kullanışlıdır. Ame­rikan sistemi defterlerinin yapılış bakı­mından iki şekli vardır. Birinci şeklinde borçlu hesaplar sol tarafta yevmiye or­tada ve alacaklı hesaplar da sağda bulu­nur. İkinci şeklinde sol tarafta yevmiye sağ tarafta borçlu ve alacaklı hesaplar yer alır.
